You might be surprised to learn that I quit SEO (Search Engine Optimization) awhile back.
Well not in the way that you think.
I still do my own form of SEO for my "maps first approach."
Why?
New studies are confirming that ranking a website simply doesn't matter as much.
Why?
Because consumer behavior has radically changed forever.
Because your customers are simply getting all the information they need directly from Google.
First, they find you in the "3-pack" of the local Google My Business listings (hopefully!).
Then, most likely they will check out your reviews.
What?? You mean people often will call without going to my website?
Yep.
Don't get me wrong, you still need a website...so you can rank in Google Maps!
Keep trying to rank your local website with SEO ?
You're gonna struggle, and spend - maybe a lot - of your hard-earned profits. It's as simple as that.
But understand what matters much more and invest in a real strategy?
One that will actually bring you an Return On Investment?
